Questions

What does it cost to start?

Nothing. There is no subscription and no setup fee. We take 7.5% of payments taken through myPocketSalon, and nothing at all on tips — you can record a tip worth as much as the service itself and it reaches you whole. If you take no money through it, you pay nothing.

Do I need a website already?

No — your booking page is the website. You get your own address at yourname.mypocketsalon.app as soon as you sign up, and you can point your own domain at it later.

When do I get my money?

Card payments are held for 7 days after the appointment, then paid to your own bank account on whatever schedule you choose. The wait is what protects you if a customer disputes a payment. Need it sooner? Take an instant payout for a small fee.

Is there a limit on tips?

A tip can be as large as the service itself, and every penny of it is yours — we take no fee on tips at all. The limit exists only because tips carry no fee: without it, a £1 service with a £99 "tip" would be a way to take £100 and pay us almost nothing. If a client is unusually generous, ring the work up at what it was really worth and put the tip on top.

Can my clients still just message me?

Of course. You can add appointments yourself in seconds, and walk-ins can be rung up on the spot on the till.

What if I have staff?

Invite them and choose what each person may do — take bookings, manage clients, handle payments, or run the whole salon.

What happens to my clients if I leave?

You export them and go. There is no contract and no notice period. Your client list is yours, and we never contact your customers ourselves.
