Terms
The deal, stated once. If any of this is not what you expected, do not agree to it — and tell us, because that is a problem with the page rather than with you.

What it costs
Nothing to sign up and nothing per month. We take 7.5% of what you take through myPocketSalon, and nothing at all on tips up to the value of the service they are attached to. The fee is calculated on the whole job, so a booking paid as a deposit still carries the fee on the full price rather than on the deposit.
What is included
Card processing on standard UK cards is included in the 7.5% — there is no separate Stripe fee on top, and no separate fee per transaction. A card issued outside the UK can cost Stripe more to process, and that difference is deducted from the payment. Everything in the product is on that one rate; there is no tier where features are switched on.
When you get paid
Card payments are taken into your own Stripe account; we never hold your money. Stripe holds each payment for seven days from when it is taken and then pays your bank on the schedule you set in your Stripe dashboard. The hold is what protects you if a customer disputes a payment weeks later. Where a payment looks wrong to us — for example the same card paying several unrelated salons — we may ask Stripe to hold your payouts for up to thirty days instead, and we will tell you. Instant payouts, where Stripe offers them, are between you and Stripe.
Who sells what
You sell your services to your clients. We provide the software you sell them through; Stripe collects the money into your own Stripe account, of which you are the account holder, and we take our fee from each payment. We are not party to the appointment. That means the treatment, the result, your insurance and your qualifications are yours, and disputes about the work itself are between you and your client. A refund or chargeback is taken from your Stripe balance, and our fee on that payment is returned in the same proportion.
What you are responsible for
That you may lawfully do the work you list. That your prices and descriptions are accurate. That you handle your clients’ details properly, including only recording that someone agreed to marketing when they actually did. That you keep your sign-in to yourself.
What we are responsible for
Running the service with reasonable care, keeping your data as described in our privacy notice, and being straight with you about what the product does and does not do. We do not promise the service is never unavailable. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud, which cannot be limited by law.
Referrals
Introduce a salon and you earn 2% of what they take through the platform. There is one level: nothing is earned from salons that the salon you introduced goes on to introduce. It comes out of our share, so the salon you introduce pays the same 7.5% as anyone else. Commission clears on the same seven-day hold as everything else, and a refund or chargeback takes it back. Commission may be held for longer, or withheld, where a payment looks wrong to us; we will say so. You cannot earn commission on a salon you control.
What is not allowed
Using the platform for anything unlawful. Taking payments for work you do not intend to do. Signing up salons you control to claim commission on yourself. Spamming anyone, whether your clients or ours. We can suspend an account that does these, and will tell you why.
Leaving
There is no contract and no notice period. Export your data from Settings and stop using it; money already taken is already in your own Stripe account and reaches your bank on Stripe’s normal schedule. We may close an account with reasonable notice, except where the reason is one of the things above.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters — the fee, the hold, what we do with your data — we will tell you before it takes effect, not afterwards.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction.
